“Thousands of people lined up for free pizzas Tuesday at Pizza Patrón’s six El Paso locations,” according to the El Paso Times.

“The El Paso stores gave away about 1,800 pizzas, which sell for $4.99 each, and about 600 free-pizza coupons during the promotion from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., in which people were supposed to order a pizza in Spanish, said Ernesto Hernandez, operations manager for the El Paso Pizza Patrón stores.

The six El Paso stores drew complaints from people about having to wait in line in the heat, and about the time it took to get their pizza, Hernandez said.

Pizza Patrón’s Facebook page had complaints from angry people in various cities about long waits and stores running out of pizzas early.”
