He beat off competition for the award, organised by the government’s Learning and Skills Council, from two other finalists from completely different backgrounds – hairdressing and decorating,” said the article.
“Jonathan, who lives in Leyland, said: “It’s brilliant. I never thought I would win. My apprenticeship has given me so much – confidence, success, leadership, everything – and my company has supported me all the way.” He completed his apprenticeship in food and drink manufacturing operations with Schwan’s, and has since been promoted to his current role of deputy team leader,” according to the story.
