According to Columbus Business First, “Donatos Pizzeria LLC is getting into the value menu business at a time when its customers are taking a closer look at everyday expenses while gas prices continue an upward climb.”

“The Columbus-based pizza chain on Tuesday said its Columbus- and Cleveland-area restaurants will feature an Everyday Values Menu that includes entrees as low as $4 and pizza, salad, sub and stromboli combo meals starting at $5. Donatos’ extra-large Bakery Pizza also will be available in a junior-sized $6 version. The company acknowledged the squeeze on customers’ wallets caused by ever-rising gas prices – averaging nearly $4.15 a gallon in Columbus, according to AAA – played a part in the rollout of the menu. The chain’s pricing generally exceeds competitors, though executives say it’s a focus on quality that keeps it there.”
