According to the Wall Street Journal, “Domino’s Pizza Inc.’s fourth-quarter profit rose 2.3% on strong international revenue and the company credited its revamped recipe with spurring higher domestic sales. But now that it’s lapping the strong results from its new pizza launch, year-to-year comparisons for 2011 look tough.”

“‘The take-away on the first quarter is that we’re rolling over a 14.3% [same-store sales] increase from last year,’ said Chief Executive J. Patrick Doyle on a conference call. ‘That’s not an easy thing to do.’ In the first quarter of 2010, many customers, new and old, were trying the new recipe for the first time.”
