“Domino’s Pizza is braced for a major sales boost over the Olympics as the Games create the “perfect” excuse for Britons to stay in and order takeaway,” according to The Telegraph.

“Lance Batchelor, chief executive, said the experience of Domino’s Pizza in Australia during the 2000 Sydney Games has led him to believe there could be a “significant uplift” in sales, particularly around the opening and closing ceremonies.

“It is absolutely perfect conditions for us,” Mr Batchelor said, adding that in Sydney, the Games proved to be one of the “busiest ever periods” for the Australian branch of Domino’s.”
