Australian owned and operated Domino’s Pizza Australia New Zealand Limited will today officially change its name to Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited to better reflect its international reach.

The name change is the result of a resolution adopted at the Company’s Annual General Meeting last month.
 
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited CEO Don Meij said the name change was needed to mirror the fact that the company was now operating stores in five countries.

“As we now own the master franchises for the Domino’s Pizza brand in Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, the Netherlands and France, it is important that our name reflects this global reach,” he said.

“International markets are now a major part of our growth strategy, with the company working towards a goal of more than 1,600 stores across these countries.”
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited currently has 616 stores across its network, with plans to have 653 stores operating by the end of the current financial year.

“In the newly-acquired European markets, we are seeing growth across the board. We have already opened three new stores this year in Europe, with another three under construction. We are also aiming for 12 per cent Same Store Sales growth for the full year, with the markets expected to make their first profit contribution next financial year,” Mr Meij said.

“In New Zealand, sales are tracking ahead of budget making us positive about the future as we grow this market to 85 stores. “In the year ahead, Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited will continue to drive growth through store expansion, innovative stores, menus and marketing, and operational improvements and efficiencies.”

Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited is Australia’s only publicly-listed pizza company and is the master franchisor for the Domino’s Pizza brand in Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Across these markets, the Company and its franchisees operate 616 stores. In Australia and New Zealand, the 453 stores employ more than 11,000 staff and make more than 60 million pizzas each year.
