""ChicagoTribune.com reports, “Domino’s Pizza Inc.  processed a record 1.08 million online orders during the week after Thanksgiving, signalling customers’ growing use of online and mobile services. Domino’s launched online ordering nearly four years ago and it now makes up about 30 percent of total orders.”

“Traditionally, the night before Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days of the year for pizza chains as families look for an easy, low-priced meal ahead of the next day’s cooking spree. To draw in consumers at the start of the holiday season, Domino’s and rival pizza companies like Yum Brands Inc.’s Pizza Hut, Papa John’s International Inc. and Pizza Inn Holdings Inc. launched limited-time deals that combine pizza and side items in the same package.  ‘This was the first time in our history we surpassed 1 million digital orders in a single week,’ said President and Chief Executive Patrick Doyle. ‘Consumers are not only craving quality food, but they’re getting it via the convenience of ordering from their computers and other mobile devices.'”
