""Domino’s Pizza, the pizza delivery expert, has delivered some early Christmas cheer to stranded travellers at Gatwick Airport, by providing 500 free slices of piping hot pizza.

The pizzas were delivered over the weekend as hundreds of passengers became stranded at the airport following the snow.

Michaela Roberts, marketing manager of the Domino’s Horley franchise which delivered to Gatwick, said: “We just wanted to do something to help and while the planes couldn’t get through, at least our pizza delivery drivers still could! We understand how frustrating it must be for all those passengers and hope the free pizza slices helped to lift their spirits while they waited for the airport to reopen.”
