According to MonkeyDish.com, “Talk about food on the run. At My Pie, a popular pan-pizza restaurant in Northbrook, Illinois, homebound Chicagoland commuters can get their dinner delivered directly to the train. According to owner Rich Aronson, regulars—including conductors—actually suggested the service, and being virtually at the train tracks, he was happy to comply.”

“’Mostly it’s people riding through to another destination, and they’re either taking it home or snacking on the train.’ Customers simply call the restaurant and say what train and car they’ll be on, and a delivery person is there when the doors open to make the handoff. A buzzer lets restaurant crew know when the train is arriving, adding to the ambience of this favorite spot of kids and train buffs.”
