Crust pizzeria in Chicago is closing!""

“Wicker Park organic pizzeria, Crust, joined the list of current and planned restaurant casualties this week, as reported on Eater Tuesday.  Incredibly ambitious, the pizzeria was the first Chicago restaurant and one of the few in the nation to try to achieve organic certification. Even if it eventually dropped its strict certification, the restaurant continued serving a tasty and partially organic menu with a full range of cocktails. According to the Eater report, it was the rent that eventually killed them and chef Michael Altenberg will now focus more on his Bistro Campagne. The Stew could not reach anyone at the restaurant–which incidentally does not confirm the closing on its voicemail message–but the restaurant’s Facebook page, linked to from the Crust Eat Real website does seem to indicate that the report is true,” ChicagoTribune.com reports.
