San Francisco, Calif. (November 20, 2008) – Diamond Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ:DMND), today announced that Christiane McAuliffe has been appointed to position of Director of Foodservice for the company, effective immediately. In this role, Ms. McAuliffe will be responsible for directing and growing Diamond’s business base within the various foodservice channels.

 

Ms. McAuliffe joins Diamond with a strong background in foodservice sales and marketing, advertising and product development. From 1995 to 2005, McAuliffe served in various sales and business development roles at PepsiCo. From 1993 to 1995, she served as a District Sales Manager for Nalley’s Fine Foods in Tacoma, WA. Prior to Nalley’s, McAuliffe spent several years in advertising at Noble & Associates and in product development for Bunge Foods.  Most recently, McAuliffe operated her own marketing and sales consulting business specializing in creating foodservice sales and marketing initiatives for food marketers. She holds a B.A. in Communications and Advertising from the University of Washington, Seattle.
