"When The Daily Advertiser newsroom staff heard about the cease-and-desist letter sent to Dean-O's Pizza by a Baton Rouge pizza joint that had trademarked boudin pizza, the actual concept of boudin pizza piqued interest as much as the trademark of such a general pizza description," according to theadvertiser.com."
"We picked up a large Cajun Violation from Dean-O's and hit Girard Park and Jefferson Street downtown to hand out slices of boudin pizza. Here's what the locals have to say about boudin on a pizza.
"I thought it was very good," Caroline Delcambre said. "I thought it needed — I expected a little more boudin on the pizza than I had gotten, but I thought it was very good. I enjoyed it."
Delcambre gave the pizza a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. She called the trademark situation "ridiculous."
