The Farmer’s Daughter, a fan-favorite specialty pizza at Washington D.C.-based &pizza, has a new sister.
After the successful return of its popular Farmer’s Daughter pie last month, &pizza announced the launch of the Farmer’s Other Daughter in mid-October. It’s described as a “fun twist” on the original Farmer’s Daughter, which &pizza had previously dropped from its menu, much to the chagrin of the brand’s customers.
The Farmer’s Other Daughter features a cracked egg, crispy bacon (as opposed to the original pizza’s sausage), spinach and grilled onions over a bed of fresh mozzarella, all layered on &pizza’s Parmesan Romano sauce (in place of the traditional tomato sauce). It’s finished off with a drizzle of garlic butter and a touch of Mike’s Hot Honey—just like its sexy sister.

When &pizza re-introduced the original Farmer’s Daughter in early September 2024, CEO Mike Burns said the deletion of that pie from its menu proved to be “the ultimate FAFO experience.”
“One of the most popular pies &pizza ever introduced, it was a masterpiece, nothing short of culinary lore,” Burns said at the time. “It showcased that we weren’t afraid to push the boundaries when it came to toppings such as cracking an egg on a pizza, and [we] ticked off a lot of our customers when we pulled it. I wish we had a good answer as to why, but we won’t try to spin it or sugar coat it—we f-ed up!”
