A Blaze Pizza franchisee hit upon a unique theme to celebrate the grand re-opening of his refreshed restaurant at 215 North Cattlemen Road in Sarasota, Florida: an evening at the circus.
The event, which took place on Saturday, September 6, also celebrated the restaurant’s 10th year serving the community. It featured high-flying circus acts performed by students at the Circus Arts Conservatory in Sarasota, along with adoptable pets from Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue and, of course, pizza specials.
From 5 to 7 p.m., the plaza came alive with aerialists, stilt walkers, jugglers and unicyclists from the Circus Arts Conservatory.
The Blaze Sarasota location now features cozy booth seating, a modern interior décor and an expanded outdoor patio designed for Florida sunshine—complete with shaded seating and a 12-seat community table ideal for families, friend groups and team outings.

“Celebrating 10 years in Sarasota makes this reopening especially meaningful,” said Blaze Pizza franchisee Wayne Albritton. “We’re thrilled to unveil the new look and feel of Blaze Pizza Sarasota while honoring a decade of serving this community. This day is for our guests, and we invite everyone to celebrate with us. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or gathering with friends on the patio, we’ve created an experience that makes great pizza even better.”
Sarasota has a deep history in the circus arts. In 1927, the world-renowned circus impresario John Ringling—along with his brother Charles—moved the Ringling Brothers Circus winter quarters from Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Sarasota. That move brought with it hundreds of circus performers and support staff to the city, and since then generations of international circus performers have made Sarasota their home.
The Circus Arts Conservatory’s Circus Sarasota presents annual world-class performances in the one-ring, European-style big top, earning acclaim for its artistry and entertainment. The conservatory provides year-round outreach programs, with about 80% of ticket revenue supporting community outreach programs serving children, the elderly and residents of care facilities.
