According to a news report from chillicothegazette.com, “The owner of Peppy’s Pizza announced Tuesday he will run for the U.S. Congress in 2008.”
“Dave Woolever, who has owned the pizzeria since February 1995, announced he will run as a Democrat for the seat currently held by Rep. David Hobson, R-Springfield,” said the story. “For far too long,” Woolever said in a release. “Representative Hobson has avoided a serious challenge for his seat. It is time that he be called to task for the bad votes and misspent money in Washington.” Woolever said the biggest issue in the 7th Congressional District are the war in Iraq, the economy, trade and homeland security.”
