(Press Release), Coppell, Texas, Aug 20, 2013 — Just in time for back-to-school lesson and activity planning, CiCi's Pizza offers Lunch & Learn field trips to show students real-life uses for math skills while creating delicious CiCi's pizzas.

The Lunch & Learn program offers preschool and elementary-aged students hands-on activities that incorporate basic math skills on three levels – beginner, intermediate and advanced. Students get a tour of the restaurant, receive a fun facts worksheet, and use scales, measuring cups and rulers to solve problems while creating their lunches.

"Kids have so much fun making their own delicious, nutritious pizza that they don't even realize they are learning and reinforcing basic math skills," said CiCi's Pizza Director of Field Marketing Jason Gibbs. "Our Lunch & Learn field trips are just one of the ways CiCi's partners with schools, clubs and and other youth-focused groups in our communities throughout the year to support education."

The field trip workshops are generally about two hours long, and culminate in lunch for all participants. A Teacher Tool Kit offers additional fun, original ways to create educational activities for students, including CiCi's All-Star Student Cards to reward achievements throughout the school year.

The program is open to preschools, elementary schools, day care centers, scouts, clubs and other youth-based programs. Cost per participant is typically the standard price of a kids buffet and drink. Teachers and youth organization leaders should contact their local CiCi's for more information.
