According to Nation’s Restaurant News, “The 650-unit CiCi’s Pizza chain has dropped the price on its buffet to $4.99 or less through June 28.”

“The limited-time offer varies by market, with some stores even running a value price of $3.99. The buffet price is typically around $5.99, depending on the market. The five-dollar mark has become a magic number in quick-service restaurants, with Pizza Hut earlier this week debuting a new menu with items from $5 to $6. Some other quick-service chains offering $5 menu items include Boston Market, Subway and Quiznos.”

“’As the U.S. climbs out of the recession, this bargain for your buck offers a bit of relief to guests during their fast-paced summer,’ said Craig Moore, president and chief executive of CiCi’s,” the story said.
