Whimsy and fun are on the menu at DVine Pie, a newly opened pizza shop in Piermont, New York, that has been netting positive media buzz for both its food and its décor.

The sleek, industrial-style restaurant features not one or two but three funhouse mirrors in the rear, plus pizza-themed murals and chalkboard-like tables that the kids can doodle on. And then there’s the larger-than-life photo of actor Jack Nicholson with oversized teeth and the varying configurations of Edison lights that dangle from the ceiling.

Co-founded by Chris Holland, a winner on the Food Network’s “Chopped,” and Joe Printz (among several others), DVine has become known for serving pies like the Stunad (smoked tomato, pesto and fresh mozzarella) and the Clam Bake, made with clams, roasted corn, dry chorizo, potatoes and garlic butter. One blogger described the latter as “the perfect combination of flavors with just a touch of heat.”

DVine Pie is part of the DVine Hospitality Group, which also includes the Grape DVine and DVine Bar, both in Sparkill, New York.
