"Have lunch at Green Mill’s Mobil Kitchen and save a basement," according to the Superior Telegram.
"The Federal Emergency Management Agency has done its part, so has the State of Minnesota, now the Green Mill Restaurant’s Mobil Kitchen is hitting the road to help local residents whose lives were affected severely by this summer’s tragic floods. Look for the big green Mobil Kitchen to be parked on Superior Street in front of North Shore Bank of Commerce in downtown Duluth today, Thursday and Friday.
With every lunch purchased between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day, $1 will be donated to the local United Way’s Flood Relief Fund. This money will help people repair their homes and lives that were ruined by the recent floods.
On June 19 and 20 raging, high water in the Duluth area washed away roads, flooded out basements and destroyed entire neighborhoods. The damage estimate from the high water is more than $100 million and it will take years to clean up and repair.
Green Mill’s Mobil Kitchen fundraising event allows people can enjoy a Green Mill lunch and know they’re helping friends and neighbors."
