Casey’s, the large convenience store chain, is marking the 40th anniversary of its pizza offerings with a special promotion for Casey’s Rewards members. On April 3, members can purchase a Mega Slice for $0.40 and receive a 40% discount on any whole pizza by using a promo code. These offers are available in stores and can be accessed by signing up for the free rewards program through the Casey’s app or on their website.
Casey’s claims to be the fifth-largest pizza chain in the country by virtue of having close to 2,900 locations—a claim some pizza chain operators might be dubious of. Still, there’s no doubt that the convenience-store chain makes pizza, and thus, directly competes with pizzerias and restaurants for consumer dollars.
“When the fifth-largest pizza chain turns 40, you got to get a little crazy,” said Brad Haga, the c-store chain’s senior vice president of prepared food and dispensed beverage. “That’s why we’re giving our pizza lovers something to celebrate with us… from our iconic breakfast pizza to taco-topped pies or your favorite topping combination on our made-from-scratch dough or crispy thin crust, there’s something for everyone to enjoy as we toast to the next 40 years.”
