Caputo Cheese, a leading manufacturer of fine Italian cheeses, earned accolades recently at the American Cheese Society’s (ACS) Judging & Competition, held at the University of Minnesota’s Huntington Bank Stadium last month.

The brand swept the Fresh Mozzarella—Under 8 Oz. All-Milk category, receiving first place for its Nodini, second place for its Mini Nodini, and third place for its Ovolini.

“I am grateful for the hard work and dedication my team puts into crafting our cheese,” said Natale Caputo, CEO and president of Caputo Cheese. “These achievements surpassed our expectations, and we are honored to be recognized by our peers at the ACS.”

In addition to the ACS award, Caputo’s Nodini claimed the Best of Class honor at the 2024 World Championship Cheese Contest a few months earlier.

The ACS Judging & Competition (J&C) is the largest event of its kind for American-made cheeses and one of the largest cheese competitions in North America. Products entered into the competition were received June 3 through 5 and judging took place June 6 and 7.

The competition has grown dramatically over the decades, starting with just 89 entries when it debuted 38 years ago and attracting 228 companies this year.
