BUONA gears up for the 2007 “Taste”
BUONA Restaurant and Caterer, the “Official Italian Beef of the Taste of Chicago,” celebrating its 25th Anniversary, proudly announces its menu line-up in preparation for the famous summer food festival being held June 29 through July 8, 2007, in Grant Park. A longstanding tradition throughout Chicagoland with twelve quick-casual suburban locations, BUONA will feature its authentic Chicago-style BUONA Italian Beef Sandwich and its signature Cannoli (Italian dessert) at Booth # 26 at the “Taste.”
BUONA will offer the following items from its restaurant menu for sale during the festival:

During the festival, our employees act as unofficial ambassadors of the city of Chicago to the guests at our booth – a responsibility we do not take lightly,” said Don Buonavolanto, co-owner and vice president of operations for BUONA. “That’s why we showcase our BUONA Italian Beef – a great taste that is truly unique to Chicago.”
“With a projected 40,000 customers, we plan on serving 5 tons of BUONA Italian Beef, 50,000 freshly baked French rolls, 1½ tons of hot & sweet peppers, 15,000 links of our homemade Italian Sausage and…150,000 napkins!” commented John Buonavolanto, co-owner and vice president of beef production for BUONA.
Owned and operated by the Buonavolanto family, BUONA has been serving the Chicagoland area since 1981. BUONA quick-casual restaurants are located in Berwyn, Oak Park, Lombard, Naperville, Glendale Heights, Hoffman Estates, Hanover Park, Rolling Meadows, Downers Grove, Hillside, and Itasca, with its newest restaurant now open in Darien, IL. The family has future plans to expand throughout Chicagoland, including the addition of three more locations over the next two years.
