According to HockeysFuture.com, “The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Ryan Howse of the Chilliwack Bruins.”
 
“Howse collected seven points, scoring three goals and four assists to go with a +5 rating, in three games over the past week, helping the Bruins post a 2-0-0-1 record in that span. On Wednesday, November 18th, the Chilliwack Bruins travelled to Vancouver to face the Giants.  Howse picked up a goal and an assist as the Bruins downed the Giants convincingly, 6-1.  It was the first time the Bruins have ever earned a regulation-time win in 16 all-time regular season visits to the Pacific Coliseum and just the fourth win in 32 all-time regular season matchups.  Howse was also named the games 1st Star.  On Friday, November 20th, the Bruins hosted the Portland Winterhawks.  Howse found the twine twice and added an assist as the Bruins defeated the ‘Hawks 6-4, he was also named the games 1st Star.  On Saturday, November 21st, the Kamloops Blazers travelled to Chilliwack to face the Bruins.  Howse chipped in with a pair of assists to push the game to a shoot-out, where the Blazers prevailed defeating the Bruins 4-3. Howse’s seven points over the last three games has him sitting 12th among all WHL scorers with 34 points (21 goals, 13 assists) in 28 games played.  The Chilliwack Bruins have posted a 3-0-0-1 record in their last four contests and currently sit second in the WHL BC Division with an 11-12-1-4 record and 27 points.”

“Howse, an 18-year-old Prince George, British Columbia native, is currently in his third season with the Chilliwack Bruins.  He was selected 3rd overall by the Bruins at the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft and was recently selected in the 3rd round – 74th overall by the Calgary Flames at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.”
