According to a news report from brooklyneagle.com, “A federal judge has ended a legal food fight between a Long Island pizzeria and a Manhattan restaurant by saying they can both use “Patsy’s” in their name.”

“Federal Magistrate Judge Ramon Reyes of Brooklyn has ordered Patsy’s Pizzeria in Syosset and Patsy’s Italian Restaurant in Manhattan to use their complete trade names going forward and not just the name Patsy’s,” said the story. “The two eateries have been in trademark litigation for years. The judge had earlier said that the pizzeria had to post a sign saying it wasn’t affiliated with the famed restaurant.”
