The pizzaioli at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, have dreamed up five scrumptious pies and one focaccia-based sandwich for the chain’s new Sunday brunch menu.
Brixx has more than 30 locations in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Ohio, and Indiana. Brunch lovers can now dig in to signature pies like the Italian Sausage Omelette Pizza and the Brunch Supremo Pizza.
Jeff Van Dyke, managing partner at Brixx, tells PMQ that adding a Sunday brunch daypart was a natural move for the company. “People love pizza,” he says. “People love brunch. Why not combine them to create something extra special?”
“The original idea came from our guests, who expressed a desire for some brunch fare served on our scratch-made dough,” Van Dyke added. “We thought the idea was a great one, so we crafted these dishes to satisfy brunch and pizza lovers.”
All brunch pizzas are priced at $10.95, while the Brixx Brunch Sandwich sells for $8.95. The pizzas include:
Ham and Eggs Pizza—Basil pesto base, prosciutto, scrambled eggs, mozzarella, and goat cheeses
Huevos Rancheros Pizza (pictured below)—Black bean base, scrambled eggs, bacon and mozzarella cheese, topped with fresh salsa and a drizzle of sour cream
Garden Eggs Pizza—Olive oil base, fresh spinach, sundried tomatoes, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, mozzarella, and feta cheeses
Brunch Supremo Pizza—Olive oil base, scrambled eggs, spicy Italian sausage, bacon, red onions, mushrooms, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses
Italian Sausage Omelette Pizza—Olive oil base, spicy Italian sausage, scrambled eggs, sautèed peppers and onions, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses
Brixx Brunch Sandwich—Fresh-baked focaccia with scrambled eggs, bacon, arugula, tomato, and basil pesto mayo. Served with a side of fruit salad.
Also on the brunch menu: Bloody Marys and Lamarca Prosecco Mimosas for $5 a glass, with all bottles of wine at half price.
Will any of these signature brunch pizzas end up on Brixx’s regular menu? “At this time, there are no plans to offer our brunch items outside of brunch hours, but anything could happen!” Van Dyke says.
