DALLAS – December 2007 – Boston Pizza Restaurants, L.P. is pleased to announce the appointment of Jack Civa, an experienced leader in marketing initiatives in the food industry.

Civa, who joined Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza as vice president of marketing in November, most recently served as the director of marketing for Butterball where he was successful in strategically directing and executing tactical initiatives for the foodservice division. 

“Jack is the ideal addition to the Boston’s franchise,” explained Doug MacDonald, president of Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza.  “He brings years of experience that will add a fresh perspective as we continue to make Boston’s a better experience for our franchisees, employees and customers.”

In addition to his tenure at Butterball, Civa returns to Dallas after serving as the director of marketing for the Wisconsin Cheese Board, a district sales manager for ConAgra Foods and the national marketing manager for TCBY in previous years.  Civa has honed his skills in internal and external marketing, key market and culinary trends identification, promotions, marketing communications and consumer-based marketing programs.

With his marketing talent and experience in this industry, Civa will create awareness of the Boston’s brand throughout the United States as the franchise continues to grow nationwide.  “Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza has exciting times ahead as we continue to build the brand in the national spotlight,” proclaims Civa.  “The concept always looks at how to improve the menu, the service — which has led the chain’s success in Canada and now the United States.”
