Blaze Pizza, the fast-casual pizza chain headquartered in Atlanta, has rolled out a new app and loyalty program designed to create a more frictionless experience for in-store and digital customers.

In a partnership with Thanx, Blaze has transitioned more than 5 million existing rewards members to the new loyalty program, according to a press release. Christian Kuhn, Blaze’s chief marketing officer, said the collaboration is “about delivering an effortless and rewarding experience for our guests while giving our franchisees the tools they need to drive growth.”

The new loyalty program promises “a frictionless checkout process” where guests no longer need to scan receipts or remember their passwords. They can also link their credit cards for automatic rewards.

The release states there are also “exciting new benefits on the horizon,” including exclusive access to perks and members-only swag for loyalty members. Meanwhile, the app will “continuously evolve with fresh features and branding updates—without the costly fees of a fully custom-built system.”

Secret menus and app-exclusive items are also in the works, while the loyalty program will “leverage guest behavior and preferences to deliver more personalized experiences.”

Kuhn said the goal “is to create a loyalty experience that feels as effortless and customized as ordering a Blaze pizza.”
