Award-winning Maryland Pizzeria Starts Dishing out Vegan Cheese Pizza

Baltimore, MD – Brick Oven Pizza celebrates new menu by hosting animal charity benefit day – For more than 12 years, people have been flocking to Brick Oven Pizza (BOP), an award-winning pizzeria located on what is known as the best corner in Baltimore’s historic Fell’s Point—and now there are two more reasons to dine at this local hot spot! After working with Compassion Over Killing, a Washington, D.C.-based animal advocacy charity, BOP has started dishing out vegan cheese pizza (and calzones), becoming the city’s first pizzeria to offer Teese, a 100% dairy-free cheese made by Chicago Soy Dairy. You can feast on delicious vegan cheese pizza and calzones and help animals at the same time—ten percent of the day’s sales from the vegan menu will be automatically donated towards Compassion Over Killing’s farmed animal advocacy work. 

“A growing number of people are choosing vegan foods as a way to help protect their health, the planet, and animals,” says Erica Meier, executive director of Compassion Over Killing. “And we’re excited that BOP is making it easier than ever for Baltimoreans to enjoy delicious vegan fare.”
