“Pizza Guys LLC, franchise owner for the Augusta and Savannah Marco’s Pizza restaurants, was awarded Franchise of the Year by Marco’s Pizza Franchising,” according to the August Chronicle.

“Area manager Shawn Skrip said the award was based on overall sales, sales increases and execution of daily operations. Marco’s opened in Martinez in May 2011 and Grovetown in Oct. 2011. There are four Marco’s in Savannah owned by Pizza Guys LLC.

“We opened up on a very high note, and we’ve managed to get a big share of the local market,” Skrip said.

He attributes the restaurants’ success to a high-quality workforce and thorough training.

The award has brought attention to the franchise ranging from local news to visits from Marco’s corporate representatives, wanting to learn from what the Pizza Guys LLC locations are doing right,” Skrip said.”
