Following the opening of the new Bocado Pizza in Sandy Springs, Georgia, Atlanta restaurateur Brian Lewis has joined the growing movement of shipping artisan pizzas nationwide.

With National Pizza Month in full swing, Bocado is bringing its signature naturally leavened, wood-fired sourdough pizzas to a broader audience with a range of ready-to-ship pizzas, allowing customers to enjoy Bocado’s flavors from the comfort of home. They’re available for online ordering or national delivery at bocadopizza.com.

Bocado’s fresh wood-fired pizzas feature flour from a small Italian farm, fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes from Southern Italy’s Campania region. The dough is naturally leavened over 72 hours, resulting in a rich, flavorful sourdough crust that’s hand-stretched and baked to an airy, chewy inside with a perfectly crisp exterior. Flavors include:

  • Margherita ($26): A traditional Neapolitan pizza boasting flavor from San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh fior di latte mozzarella and garden basil, finished with a drizzle of olive oil and flaky salt
  • Four Cheese ($29): Made with a delicate creamy white bechamel sauce layered with aged pecorino, fontina, provolone and bufala mozzarella, topped with tomatoes and basil, and finished with a drizzle of olive oil and flaky salt
  • Marinara ($22): A vegan favorite with San Marzano tomato sauce, shaved garlic and a sprinkling of wild oregano, finished with a drizzle of olive oil and flaky salt
  • Pepperoni ($29): A combination of savory and bold flavors with butcher pepperoni cups nestled in fresh fior di latte mozzarella and laid above a layer of silky San Marzano tomato sauce
  • Sausage ($29):  A bold and fiery combination of house-made fennel sausage with Calabrian chiles on top of San Marzano tomato sauce and fresh fior di latte mozzarella, finished with scallions
  • Wild Mushroom and Vidalia Onion ($30): A delicate pairing of wild mushrooms, Georgia Vidalia onions, provolone cheese and fresh fior di latte mozzarella on a house bechamel white sauce, plus a sprinkle of flaky salt
  • Spicy Salumi ($32): An authentic Italian pie topped with San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh fior di latte mozzarella, spicy soppressata and Calabrian chiles

“We’ve always believed in the importance of simple, good ingredients and wanted to create pizzas that you can feel good about eating—pizzas that are as close to the fresh experience as possible,” Lewis said. “So many conventional grocery brand pizzas are filled with preservatives to extend their shelf life, and Bocado’s pies are about celebrating the joy of pizza without the unnecessary additives.”

Bocado originally served Atlanta’s West Midtown for more than a decade. The newest location in Sandy Springs, within Powers Ferry Village, offers indoor and outdoor seating for up to 80 guests.
