""“Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, the South Florida-based concept that uses authentic coal-burning ovens to create “well done pizza,” will open its first Connecticut restaurant on Thursday, Feb. 9. The newest restaurant, located at 319 Post Road in Darien, is the 12th ACFP restaurant to open in the Northeast, according to the Darien News. Known for its high-energy atmosphere and signature menu items, ACFP uses 800-degree anthracite coal-burning ovens and the highest quality ingredients. Anthracite is known to be the “cleanest” of coals, burning smoke free with extremely high heat to create a unique taste and perfect pies.”
