Anna's Pizza & Pasta of Winnebago, Illinois, presented a check for $2,600 to the Rockford Rescue Mission in recognition of Anna's "Two Pizza Makers, 24 Hours Straight Of Pizza Making For The Rockford Rescue Mission."  The fundraiser made money and heightened awareness of the homeless in the Rockford area.

"I think it's important that you see businesses step up and say hey lead the charge and say let’s do this this thing and help out because everyone has to help out in some way,” said owner Brian Weavel.

"This is the only job I've ever had. That's all I really know is pizza making. So, to be able to use that to help out people in Rockford who need it is just a good feeling," said cook Jonah Nail.

Anna's Pizza & Pasta officials thank everyone who had a part in this successful fundraiser. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Brian Weavel, owner of Anna's Pizza & Pasta, at (815)543-1065 or email him at zellweavel@msn.com
