The Baltimore Business Journal reports, “Angelo’s Pizza has reopened to once again serve up what it calls the ‘world’s largest slice of pizza.’”
“The 21-year-old Hampden landmark at 3600 Keswick Road closed on May 15. Its owners were briefly overwhelmed when the pizzeria’s air conditioning unit and ice machine broke in the same week. Those events, coupled with a stammering economy, forced brothers Tommy and Angelo Pizza (Yes, that’s their last name.) to shutter the home of the 18-inch pizza slice. Angelo’s reopened on June 17 thanks to a loan from a long-time customer, Tommy Pizza said. He did not disclose the value of the loan but said community support has enabled the brothers to get back to serving pizzas and Italian subs.”
