We here at PMQ give you a report on the pizza industry each year according to increases and decreases in sales, units and other trends related to the selling of pizza from the year before.

When doing my daily research for the best news related to pizza, I stumbled across a consumer survey that I thought would be of interest to our readers. This survey was conducted by Citysearch.com, a web guide that gives its visitors a place to search for great places to eat, shop, play and stay. This site features all the major cities across the country and some international cities. The survey was done in the U.S. only, but it revealed where customers were going when they wanted really good pizza. Over three million votes were received.

Three lists were compiled from the results of the survey. The first list was the audience favorites. Each city has a list of ten audience favorite pizzerias listed on the individual city site. On the same site, the editors for that particular city selected three top pizzerias in the area. After all this information was gathered, the editors released the following national winners of 2003 Best of Citysearch Pizza. Take a look at the national winners, and check out the local winners at http://best.citysearch.com.
