“Country singer Lauren Alaina spent Monday afternoon at the CiCi’s Pizza in Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., where she first worked before she appeared on last season’s “American Idol, according to Nooga.com. Alaina spent the afternoon working a shift at the restaurant for the “Day Jobs” television show, which airs on the Great American Country channel.”I’m going to go in there and see if I got a promotion,” Lauren said jokingly before heading into the restaurant to begin her shift.”

“Mike Wild, general manager of CiCi’s, said he missed the work ethic Lauren had at the restaurant. The country singer spent about six months working for him before she became famous on “American Idol,” he said. “She fell right into everything,” Wild said. “She was a people person and a good employee. I actually hated to lose her.”

“Scott Durand, vice president of marketing for Great American Country, said the reason “Day Jobs” brought Lauren back to CiCi’s Pizza was to show viewers a side of the artists they would not necessarily see otherwise. Lauren’s popularity is soaring right now with the single she has out, and of course her popularity on ‘American Idol’ . Other artists who will appear on the show include Trace Atkins, Chris Young and Eddie Montgomery, Durand said.”
