Chesterfield, Mo.  (Jan. 11, 2011) – Along with many manufacturers, AB Mauri Fleischmann’s has been impacted by considerable input cost increases including corn and molasses substrates, electricity, transportation and other key raw materials.  The company will be raising its prices in the United States and Canada on all yeast products as well as other bakery ingredients effective February 14, 2011, or as contracts expire.

Cream yeast prices will increase 2 cents per pound on an as is basis, compressed yeast will increase 4 cents per pound, and dry yeast will increase 6 cents per pound.  Actual price changes on bakery ingredients will vary depending on product and delivery location.

“The considerable cost increases we have absorbed to date, plus near-term forecasted increases means that price increases are unavoidable,” said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Greg Strauss.

AB Mauri Fleischmann’s is dedicated to providing best-in-class yeast and bakery ingredients and asks that customers with questions contact their sales representative for additional information.
