Lita Blanc, the president of United Educators of San Francisco, which represents 6,200 certificated and classified educators, and a delegate to the San Francisco Labor Council, set up a Gofundme page to support thousands of striking teachers in West Virginia.

The goal? Keep the teachers fed with pizza as they walk the picket line.

According to the Gofundme page, the goal is to provide pizza for strikers throughout this week and beyond, if necessary.  Any leftover funds will be donated to the three unions on strike:  West Virginia Education Association, AFT- West Virginia and the West Virginia School Service Personnel  Association.

At the time of this post, the trending campaign has raised more than $19,000 toward its new $20,000 goal.
