The cheese supplier for Pizza Hut, Domino's, and Papa John's has implemented an animal welfare policy after an  undercover video blew the lid off questionable practices at a Chaves County, New Mexico dairy. The clandestine video was taken at Winchester Dairy, which has temporarily closed.

Kob.com quotes a news release from Denver-based Leprino Foods, explaining that the new policy requires its dairy suppliers to keep a safe and sanitary environment, provide pain relief during disbudding/dehorning and give appropriate veterinary care to animals. It also requires suppliers to stop docking cows' tails by December 31, 2016.

Watch the disturbing video and read more about the animal treatment scandal that could impact the pizza giants.
