7-Eleven amped up its breakfast crowd with its newest menu addition: breakfast pizza with a biscuit crust. The five-inch pizza boasts a flaky biscuit crust topped with white gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage crumbles, bacon and ham with a blend of mozzarella and cheddar.
“7-Eleven stores’ busiest time of day is right in the heart of traditional breakfast hours, and people are hungry,” said Robin Murphy, fresh foods product director for the convenience store chain. “We took our busiest time of day and (one of) our customers’ favorite hot foods – pizza – to create what we think will become a breakfast favorite that is delicious and easy to eat on the go.”
Available at all times throughout the day either as a snack or as a meal, the breakfast pizza is more than hot pizza served in the morning (as Beto O’Rourke found out the hard way.)

Will this pizza be a hit? Time will tell, but when 7-Eleven first introduced breakfast pizza (sans biscuit crust) in 2018, it became the company’s second best-selling pizza.
“Breakfast pizzas have become very popular,” Marla Topliff, president of Rosati’s Pizza and chairman of the National Restaurant Association’s Pizzeria Council, adds in the 2019 Pizza Power Report. “It’s not that hard to make a breakfast pizza. You can put anything on a pie. Breakfast has always been a big daypart, just not typically for outlets like us. Fast-casual, five-minute pizzas have the lunch category covered. People want to be able to get in and get out. Dayparts have become a big factor and a booming trend. Everybody’s trying to capture a little of each of those. When we’re trying to get ready for a big football game on a Sunday, we’ll open our stores early and add a breakfast pizza in a lot of our pubs to capture that crowd, because that’s what they’re looking for.”
