Via 313, the fast-growing brand out of Austin, Texas, is bringing the taste of Motor City to more of Colorado, spreading its Detroit-style pies further into the Mile High City. Its second area restaurant—located near the Bowles Crossing Shopping Mall—opens in Littleton in late October.
The new Via 313 will host an official grand opening on October 26, featuring an event tent with games and prizes, a temporary tattoo station and food giveaways. A ribbon-cutting event with the Littleton Business Chamber begins at 11 a.m. Twenty-five percent of the day’s proceeds will be donated to LittletonQ+, which fosters inclusivity while providing opportunities for all individuals to come together and appreciate the cultures, identities and perspectives that make us unique.
Baked in heavy pans similar to the auto parts trays found in Detroit in the 1940s, Via 313’s focaccia-like dough develops into a caramelized, cheesy crust—and has quickly become a local and national favorite. Via 313 has been dubbed “one of the very best pizzas” by Food and Wine Magazine and recognized as one of the “Top 10 Pizzas in America” by the Food Network.
“Colorado has already welcomed us with open arms,” Zane Hunt, co-founder of Via 313, said. “We’re proud to be getting involved more with the Denver community and will continue to give back in any way that we can.”
The new Littleton restaurant marks the brand’s 22nd location systemwide and the second in the Centennial State after a Park Meadows location opened in May.
“This opening shows that the Colorado community is clamoring for more of our signature Detroit-style pizza that we brought all the way from Texas,” co-founder Brandon Hunt said. “We are so excited to be expanding here, and we know that our guests will continue to fall in love with the pizza as we continue to grow throughout the Rocky Mountains.”
Before Detroit-style pizza became a hit outside of the Motor City, the Hunt brothers brought their hometown pizza to Austin in 2011, starting with a food trailer, and were featured on PMQ Pizza’s cover in the September 2021 issue. The company has grown more than 300% in the past three years, landing it on the coveted 2024 Inc. 5000 list, which chronicles the fastest-growing companies in America.
