The structured bidding process has begun for 127 Pizza Hut restaurants owned by troubled franchisee EYM Pizza, according to an announcement fromĀ National Franchise SalesĀ (NFS), a leading M&A advisory and brokerage firm.

EYM Pizza filed for bankruptcy in July after several years of legal disputes with Pizza Hut. The partnership with NFS, the company engaged for the sale of the Pizza Hut units,Ā was announced in September.

NFS recently said that the restaurants have been officially released for bidding. The deadline for the Stalking Horse bidā€”an initial offer that sets the baseline value for the stores and their assetsā€”has been set for November 20. The final bid deadline, marking the last date for all potential buyers to submit their offers, is December 11.

The franchises are located across Illinois, Indiana, Georgia, South Carolina and Wisconsin. NFS said itā€™s ā€œfacilitating a transparent and efficient bidding process to attract interested parties looking to acquire these Pizza Hut franchises.ā€

In a statement, Alan Gallup, lead advisor for the NFS Asset Recovery Division, said the bidding process offers ā€œa unique opportunity for investors and operators in the franchise space to acquire well-established Pizza Hut locations. Our team at National Franchise Sales is here to ensure that potential buyers receive the necessary support to make informed decisions and that the entire process runs smoothly for all stakeholders.ā€

Further bidding details are available on the NFS website. Interested parties can also reach out to NFS directly at (949) 428-0480 for more information on the acquisition process.
