PMQ
Road Show features Hummer Promotion in DC
On June
10th, the PMQ Roadshow officially hit the road on their first official
show of the year. We congratulate Adam Greenburg of Potomac Pizza
on a huge success in Rockville, Maryland where the response to the show
was outstanding.
Arriving in
DC Suburb on June 12th, the team managed equipment and labor marketing
for the Thursday thru Saturday event. The PMQ Roadshow team rolled out
their equipment, the Twenty-five foot tall World’s Largest Pizza, the
Pizza Chief Walk-about, and the Talking Cowboy greeting customers as
they entered the store.
Everyone at
Potomac Pizza was involved, giving out Beach Balls to the kids, serving
tons of pizza in the Washington, DC area and making sure every customer
was happy.
The big
event occurred between Thursday, June 12th and Saturday, June 14th
2003. On Saturday, a chance to win a Hummer! At about 1:00
pm, approximately 200 customers along with the staff of Big 100 WBIG FM
awaited the calling of the 20 finalists.
At 2:00 pm,
Adam Greenburg, the Senior Executive for Potomac Pizza announced each
contestant. When twenty names were drawn, each contestant’s
prediction for the order of the seven toppings was announced.
Unfortunately,
a winner was not announced as none of the contestants guessed the exact
order of toppings but the excitement of the event was incredible.
The promotion insured by a insurance company so that the Hummer
promotion expense was $1400, far less than the cost of a Hummer.
Not only were sales were increased by nearly 50% the day of the event
but also the event spurred on greater community awareness of the
presence of Potomac Pizza as the source for the best service and pizza
products in Rockville, MD.
