Illinois Man Ships Pile of Pizza to War Zones |
According to a blog on blogs.usatoday.com, "Mark Evans, a retired Air Force sergeant, has taken it upon himself to send hundreds of Chicago-style pizzas to soldiers who will be in Iraq and Afghanistan on the Fourth of July."
"The Daily Herald says Evans got Lou Malnati's to give him a discount on deep-dish pizzas and DHL Global to ship the frozen pies at no charge. At first, he planned to send 300 pizzas. That number has grown exponentially since reporters learned about the plan. AP says they're now set to ship 3,000 pies," according to the story.

Drew Carey Loads Up on Pizza |
According to a news report from thecelebritycafe.com, "Drew Carey recently ordered 45 pizzas to go . . . from Antonio’s in Ohio. The comic, who is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, is apparently an Antonio’s fan, so he is having UPS deliver what must be very delicious pizzas from Ohio to Los Angeles, according to AP."
"Carey’s tall order was made to celebrate the season finale of CBS’s The Price Is Right, the former signature show of Bob Barker," said the story.

Domino's Pizza Crowns 'World's Fastest Pizza Maker' |
ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Earlier today, amidst pounding thunder sticks and cheering spectators, Domino's Pizza (NYSE:DPZ) named Silver Springs, Md. resident, Dennis Tran, the 2008 World's Fastest Pizza Maker.
