Orlando Success -- New York Next

I want to send out a big thank you to all of our attendees and exhibitors for making the Orlando Pizza Show such a big success again this year. Auditors haven’t made it official yet, but initial numbers show positive increases in activity for the two consecutive years since PMQ has joined the East Coast’s second largest restaurant event, the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Show. In case you’re wondering, the East Coast’s largest restaurant show, the International Restaurant and Foodservice Show of New York, will be held in New York in March of 2008 and PMQ’s New York Pizza Show will be part of it. See the excitement of this year’s Orlando show here.

Street Fighter Marketing Boot Camp Coming November 12

As a former pizza operator who has survived, and thrived, by implementing the Street Fighter principles of marketing, I’m proud to say that I’ve never allowed an issue of PMQ to go by without a page of practical advice from the original “Street Fighters,” Marc and Jeff Slutsky. On November 12, Marc and Jeff will be educating and entertaining you with their idea-a-minute, glued-to-your-seat marketing idea boot camp. Business experts Brad Baker and David Woodcock will also be on hand to lend their expertise. Read more about this PMQ sponsored event here.

PMQ Signs Deal With Italian Pizza Publisher

Thanks to a recently signed agreement with Editor Beppe Bonazzoli of Pizza & Food Italia Magazine, PMQ will be bringing you the most important and interesting pizza news and ideas directly from Italy. Likewise, Italian readers of Pizza & Food Italia will be reading select PMQ articles about how we operate our pizza businesses here in the states. I hope you’ll enjoy Beppe’s first contributed article about Brandi Pizzeria, the pizzeria credited with popularizing and naming the most popular of all pizzas, the Margherita, back in 1889. PMQ’s Italia editor, Paola Laghetti, translated the article into English and you can find it here.

The Best Pizza In America Comes to Your Store

Want to attract new customers to your store? Why not promote the fact that you’re serving the same pizza that won the 2007 American Pizza Championship? As a PMQ reader, you’re welcome to promote David Smith’s Cajun Chicken Pizza. You’ll find photos, quotes and information on how to get the recipe that won the hearts of the judges—and perhaps your future customers—here.
