“You Buy, We Fly” Says Airport Pizza Delivery
According to a report from Anchorage Daily News, Nome, Alaska has just gotten its first pizza delivery service. The report said Airport Pizza brings special orders hundreds of miles to the residents of the Northwestern Alaskan region of Nome and Bush villages—completely free of charge.

“Before we were opened, Nome had to be the last town in America that didn’t have pizza delivery,” said Matt Tomter, Airport Pizza manager. “So we didn’t come up with anything new. We just applied the same concept to Nome.”

The report said the pizza delivery service is all the rage for the people of Nome and surrounding areas, where the population is around 3,500.

Domino’s becomes Melbourne’s largest pizza maker
Domino’s Pizza has become the largest pizza maker in Melbourne after just 18 months, with the company now operating 46 stores in the city.

Domino’s Pizza opened its first store in Melbourne in July 2004 and today has 46 stores operating, with more planned to open in 2006.

Domino’s Pizza Australia New Zealand Ltd CEO Don Meij said Domino’s Pizza had carved out a slice of the local pizza market by offering pizza along with quick and professional home delivery service.

“In 2006, we will continue to open additional stores to build the network across the city,” he said.

Mr Meij said the growth of Domino’s Pizza stores across Melbourne also meant the company was on the lookout for additional staff.

Free Pizza At The Hockey Game
According to a report from sportsillustrated.cnn.com, the Ottawa Senators hockey team delivers for their fans. At every home game where the Senators score six or more goals, everybody with a ticket stub gets free pizza from a Canadian-based pizza chain. The Senators have hit the mark in the last four out of five home games the report said.

A representative from the restaurant said that about half of the ticket stubs are being redeemed for a free pizza slice at various locations the day after the team’s victories, the report said. The spokesman said the company averages giving away about $8,500 in free pizza with every six-pointer game.

“Nobody goes in and just gets [one slice],’’ Mlakar, the president of the Ottawa Senators said. “They’re getting a soda, they’re getting more than just a slice, plus they’re going to your establishment. If they like your product, they’re going to come back again, and I think that’s where they get the win-win. It’s a brilliant promotion for them despite the fact that they take a hit on the night we score six goals.’’

Customer Gets Tattoo of Pizza Shuttle Logo
Pat Lean, an apartment manager who has lives on the east side of Milwaukee, proudly wears a tattoo of the Pizza Shuttle logo on her left arm.

Lean, who eats at Pizza Shuttle at least once a week, says that the idea for the tattoo came to her as she was sitting in Pizza Shuttle eating her favorite Pizza Shuttle meal, a thin crust 14 inch pizza with grilled chicken, mushrooms and double garlic with a Miller Lite and thought, “that would make a great tattoo.”

Lean approached Mark Gold, co-owner of Pizza Shuttle, and told him about the idea. Gold said that he would pay for the tattoo if she got it.

Gold says, “I love it because a customer felt so strongly about Pizza Shuttle that she would want the tattoo. I mean, that’s the greatest complement you can get.” Not only did Pizza Shuttle pay for the tattoo, but Lean also gets a free pizza every month.
