Bring your thoughts—Lose your mind! PMQ’s first annual Pizza Cruise is right around the corner, and it’s still not too late to climb aboard! What if the most enthusiastic pizza industry leaders and performers gathered for a week, reviewed our progress as an industry, and discussed ways we could make our industry a better place to do business? That is what we will be doing at the Summit on the Sea on the maiden voyage of PMQ’s Pizza Cruise. The Carnival Cruise ship Glory will depart on Saturday, January 20th, 2007, from Port Canaveral, Florida.

The pizza cruise features industry experts such as Jim Fox of Fox’s Pizza Den (2005 Pizza Industry Enterprise award-winner) who will be discussing franchising and other pizza-related topics. Tom Lehmann, the Dough Doctor will also be on board giving dough workshops and delving into any and all areas of baking as he is grated full access to the ship’s on-board pizzeria. Steve Green, publisher of PMQ, and Tom Boyles, Editor-in-Chief, will also be on board hosting brainstorming sessions: The Top Sales Ideas I Ever Had, where they will dig deep into the best marketing and advertising tactics that PMQ has been covering for the past 10 years.

Over the length of the seven-day expedition on the sea, several stops, including Nassau, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas, will be part of the pizza excursions, where we’ll search for the greatest pizza parlors in the Caribbean.

Come hungry and ready to be entertained

Also on board the Pizza Cruise are a reservations-only supper club, buffet style dining with seafood station, a sushi bar, a pastry bar, poolside grill, and 24-hour room service. There are nine bars, four pools, a casino, shops, spa, fitness center, sauna and steam rooms, disco club, Internet café, a library, and a wonderful children’s program.

Also aboard the ship, the U.S. Pizza Team will host dough-tossing workshops, there will be round table discussions, similar to the Think Tank, there will be an Ask the Experts Q&A session, and of course all of the inclusive food and drinks you can stand!

Don’t be afraid to bring the kids! All Carnival Cruises host Camp Carnival, where a friendly youth staff makes the trip fun for your children of all ages. From "Make Your Own Sundaes" and swim time, to video games and scavenger hunts, your kids will have the opportunity to participate in fun events and make new friends from all over the world, with adult supervision on hand at all times.
