Dear PMQ,
As a subscriber climbing the “senior ladder” I wish to tell you how much I enjoy your magazine. It not only has a first class look, but is extremely informative. The articles and pictures are great. I have one teeny-weeny criticism. As I said, I am a senior and the light green answers in your Letters to the Editor are a bit taxing on old eyes. Is it possible you could use a darker print for your answers? Keep up the good work on your first class magazine. If you ever come to the Sacramento/Auburn area of California, please stop in at Jeanie’s I Dream of Pizza for a great meal. I will personally greet you and prepare your meal myself.
Jeanie
Since you were so nice with you comments…DONE! I hope the new bold lettering is easier to read and you bet…how could I not drop in a pizzeria with a cool name like I Dream of Pizza.
Dear PMQ,
We (Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria) delivered 1,000 pizzas (all at one time and warm!) on Tuesday, June 27th to Google in Mountain View. The Canadian company, Cambrian House, took photos and made a video. Here is their link: http://www.cambrianhouse.com. Is the 1,000 pizzas at one time a record?
Peter
Not quite the record. Here is some info on the current largest pizza order, but there is a new record pending in California I will add at the end. Current record: Little Caesar’s Enterprises and the VF Corporation. When: August 19, 1998. Record: Caesars filled an order of 13,386 pizzas from the VF Corporation of Greensboro, North Carolina, for 40,160 employees at 180 locations across the US to celebrate VF Day. Here is the pending new record: Papa John’s delivered 13,500 pizzas promptly at 11 a.m., June 8th at the General Dynamics NASSCO shipyard in San Diego.
Dear PMQ,
I found your article “The Many Different Types of Pizza” very good, but I think that there was also another type of pizza in Italy around 50 or so years ago. I saw it in a classic Italian movie that, I think, Anthony Quinn (?) sold pizzas on the street from a cart. These were not baked, but deep-fried. It was called pizza in the movie. The reception of the movie was not that good and it was in black and white. Do you know this type of pizza?
Dieter
I have heard of fried pizzas and actually ate some while in Positano, Italy, a couple of years ago. You can find the article at http://www.pmq.com/mag/2005july-august/vacation.php and see the steps to making them in the July 2005 issue of PMQ.
Dear PMQ,
I just wanted to say that I absolutely love the new Think Tank…great job!
Heather
Thanks Heather. For those who have not visited the Think Tank at PMQ.com lately, put down the magazine and go check it out right now. A new board, new features, a new look and better navigation.
Dear PMQ,
Congratulations! I am delighted to hear that Evelyne Slomon has joined your team...that is big! I have not received a current copy of PMQ at Pizzarico’s (in Prince George B.C. Canada). Please send one current and one back issue if possible.
Rico
We are quite pleased to have Evelyne and her expertise as part of the PMQ team too. I think the new addition of fresh and more talented experts like Evelyne, John Correll, David Scott Peters, Chef Bruno, Michael D’Agostino and others has made PMQ even better than it was a year ago. Your address has been updated and a few back issues are on the way now.
