According to experts at the Barilla Academy in Parma, Italy, chefs in the Puglia region add mashed potatoes to the dough during the mixing process. The result is a softer focaccia for those customers craving something different.

Little Caesars Rolls Out the “ExtraMostBestest” Pizza of All

Little Caesars has issued a one-topping challenge to Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Little Caesars. According to a company official, the new ExtraMostBestest pizza contains “the most pepperoni and cheese of any large, round, standard-menu, one-topping pepperoni pizza sold by the other three major national pizza chains.” The $6 pizza comes topped with more than 50 pepperoni slices, the company boasts.

“Love a Journalist Day” Guaranteed to Earn Media Exposure

Pi Pizzeria, with locations in Washington, D.C., St. Louis and Cincinnati, struck a blow for freedom of the press with free pizzas for local journalists. The pizza chain declared Thursday, May 25, to be “Love a Journalist Day,” and the promo’s Twitter announcement alone garnered 871 likes and 387 retweets within 24 hours.
