Washington, D.C. pizzeria Comet Ping Pong has been singled out by online conspiracy theorists as a possible hub of suspicious and downright salacious activity, the Washington City Paper reports. Specifically, the pro-Trump theorists, most of them known only by their 4chan and Reddit handles, seem to believe the pizzeria—once featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives—is secretly “the potential home base of a global Democratic sex ring.” Much of the “Pizzagate” speculation has been fueled by hacked emails belonging to John Podesta, Clinton’s campaign manager, who has eaten at Comet Ping Pong before. Many of those emails, released by Wikileaks, make frequent, apparently innocuous references to pizza, which the theorists insist is “weird, cryptic language” for illegal sex trafficking.

When is “pizza” really just pizza, and when is it secret code for illicit sex? Read more at PMQ.com.

The Good, the Bad and the Nasty

Just in time for Election Day, Cane Rosso owner Jay Jerrier lightened the political tensions around Dallas-Fort Worth with yet another witty promo that made headlines in the region. On Tuesday only, all Cane Rosso locations served up two specialty pizzas—the Trump-inspired Bad Hombre and the Clinton-inspired Nasty Woman. What made the latter so nasty? A side of ranch dressing, a condiment which Jerrier has humorously mocked—and refused to serve—for years. “Ranch eaters, this is your ONE day,” Jerrier declared on Cane Rosso’s Facebook page. “The Banhammer comes back out on Wednesday. We will be watching and judging you all night long.”
