At a Pizza Guys Corporate Franchise Meeting midyear 2015, Corporate Manager Kim Bui instructed eager franchise owners about the American Cancer Society Campaign. In 2014, Pizza Guys presented over $28,000 to the American Cancer Society for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. When setting their team goal for 2015 they hoped to raise $35,000, but with their teams dedication and customer support were able to go above their goal amount by near twenty percent!

Company co-founder Shahpour Nejad said, “We have an amazing office team and franchise group that really took this campaign on strong. We are proud to partner with a cause that affects our teams and communities and working with the American Cancer Society has been a very smooth process. I am proud that our company is able to make a difference and we hope to one day see a cancer-free future.”

The company took their best aspects of the 2014 campaign and used customer social media feedback as well as employee ideas to make their 2015 campaign even better. Last year’s “Slice of Hope” bundle deal wasn’t as successful as they wished so this year they took one of their best-selling deals, the “Big Guy” XL 1 Topping, and rebranded it as the “Slice of Hope.” Teams also sold popular pink-branded shirts and continued to take in-store and online donations as they did last year. Any large pizza sold also contributed to the campaign. The combined efforts of the Making Strides Campaign made 2015 a successful year.

Kim Bui said, “Now we go on to evaluate the 2015 campaign so that 2016 can be an even better year. We will set another high goal and keep going higher with each campaign. We are so proud to be a part of something bigger.”
